Sport Before The Snow

This was the coldest day -less than 20 degrees! Lena Brune is trying to warm up on this 6a

Here it is - awkward 6c, with apparently 2 options for exiting - most people took the standard line of jugs on the left - Lena created an alternative on the right..

Back into the sun, and back on the lead. Another normal day with the temp in the high 20's

An exciting journey to the next crag - where Lena took her most dramatic fall, on a 6b, ending up just above this crumbling walkway..

The pinnacle, this was the most busy day.. But there were still climbs to be found away from the crowds..

Then.... the snow started to come down hard.. This scuppered our plans..


This route today was supposed to be a 'walk in the park' (it would be in July!). I ended up taking a few slides down the snowy/icy rock today - the rock was suddenly covered in 5 inches of snow. Somewhere different tomorrow then!
