Sea Cliff sessions

This week i was out on Monday night and Thursday afternoon with Ben and Sarah for some climbing on the sea cliffs.
Monday saw us at Fulmar wall and Meikle Partans north of Aberdeen. After being attacked by the wildlife (the evil looking bird above) we headed to MP to get on some harder routes. Both followd me up Band of Hope (HVS 5a) that has a tricky start.

They then carried on to bottom rope Strawcluchers Wall (E1 5b) to practice the moves (above).

Thursday was a nice sunny afternoon with a brief shower later on. Again Ben was keen to get on some harder routes. Johnny's Dangler; the E1 5b he had tried earlier on in the year continued to put up a fight even on bottom rope. Maybe it'll go on the lead next time...

Sarah took the chance to get back on the lead by climbing a Difficult up a nice corner a little further South. A nice wee route only being let down by the poorer quality rock at the top (below).

I'm back in Transition today and Saturday but should manage to get out again on Sunday weather permitting. I'm also away to Torridon on Tuesday night with a couple of work colleagues with a view to completing some of the ridges and Munro's in the area including Liathach, Ben Alligin and Ben Eighe. So keep an eye on the blog for more updates.
