11th Aug. Windy On Dinas Mot

This time, on a windy day, we headed up to Dinas Mot to try and find a route with less wind. We started on West Rib - which was definitely not sheltered from the wind - a mistake! Our second route though was sheltered and so Lorraine was great fun all the way.

This time David and I headed for Dinas Mot. We started on 'Lorraine' 4c. Above David is near the start.

After 'Lorraine' we headed for 'Western Slabs' VS 4c. Dave is enjoying the traverse onto the 4c section above.

After 'Western Slabs' we finished the day with 'The Direct Route' VS 5b. Another great day with incredible dry and warm weather... David's Blog

The belay for the first 5a pitch was directly under the crux of the second 5a pitch. This is my attempt of taking a photo of Alex. Just held camera out - hoping he'd be in it lol - don't fall off now !!


Dinas Mot, and every mountain crag is very dry, so we went for a route, that is not normally dry - a good opportunity to climb Black Spring (HVS -,5a, 5a, 4a, 4c, -).
