Robinwood Goes Climbing

This week I'm working with Tony Halliwell and the Staff from the Robinwood Activity Centes. Their journey north took them to Glencoe by 1.30pm, and then we all split up to different venues. Tony headed up a team over to Gearr Aonach to climb 3 different routes. I headed over to Glen Nevis, Polldubh with 3 other vehicles. After finding the largest layby empty, we parked and all headed up to The Alp (this seemed suitable, because over the last few days I've planned my trip to the Alps for this year).

We had a range of different ambitions for the afternoon, from top roping (climbing outdoors for the first time), to seconding, and a few were keen to lead and bag starred routes.

The teams managed to climb The Gutter, Pine Wall, Resurrection and Tear in a short space of time. We then had to stop the fun to go and move into the bunkhouses and think about evening meals and plans for tomorrow - this time we have a whole day to work with.
