Working for Jagged Globe on their first Intro to Mountaineering course of the season, I was working alongside Sam and Alex with Cat and Hannah observing. So today on day 1 - we headed off to Aonach Mor and the Gondola. We found some snow just above the gondola station... So winter skills - here we go... In this photo Hannah is in the green jacket and Alex in the red.
The weather changed and Hannah Evans led off into the worsening weather - they loved it !! Scottish weather - always full value!
My favourite part of the day was taking them out !! To learn to prevent a slip from turning into a slide - we had to artificially create a slip (swipe their feet form under them!). They loved it and, guess what, I did too. Roll on tomorrow for more white action... Somehow today I even got in shopping for ski boots - it'll be all systems go for the 2 planks soon....
