Sunnies And Cream

Is it possible? January in Scotland and needing to put on sunglasses and suncream in the morning for the whole day?!? That was what happened today.. We also used our lighter walking gloves all day and just 1 or 2 layers on our upper body!! How is this possible? There was a high centred over Britain creating this stunning weather... We headed for the Ballachulish Horseshoe, for the greatest challenge of the week so far... In our mid morning break we had a brocken spectre (brockengespenst), and at one point it was a spectre with 6 concentric rainbows - OMG, how often in a lifetime do you see that?!? (so then I had a wee and had a broken spectre of me weeing!).

Heading for the summit of Sgorr Dhearg.

We were above the clouds all day and had incredible views of Lochaber, Glencoe and a brilliant view of Loch Leven through the clouds.

The clouds cleared later in the day. We were posing for photos with this scenery all day!!

I was working with Sam Leary again for Jagged Globe- and today I think she actually took more photos than me!

Alps? Himalaya? Andes? ... no, better, ... Scotland :)

Rob managed to carry his £2000 of camera and lenses around all week!

Finally we got harnesses and ropes out for the steep rock bands on the ridge. Our rack consisted of a hex and a camelot - awesome!

An amazing view of Ben Nevis, Loch Leven and Eilean Munde
Eventually we had to go down...
How can we top this tomorrow? We'll manage it...
