Telepherique from Vicosoprano to access Punta da l'Albigna |
Matt and I cheated by gaining height quickly with the local telepherique from Vicosoprano heading for the Meuli Route on Punta da l'Albigna. The weather forecast however showed a chance of afternoon rain, or even heavy downpours, so we took a chance and made the approach to the climb. At the hut we met
Emma Jack, on a climbing trip for a change and not on skis, (
Emma Jack) and Matt, who were thinking the same thing.

We dashed off and made it to the route, just behind the first team of the day on the climb. Apart from the first pitch, we moved together on the entire climb and quickly got to the top.

We made our way down and back to the telepherique, with the weather still good, and so we had a little fun trying to climb up the dam! As we got back to the campsite and contemplated another evening BBQ, the heavens opened and heavy rain closed play for the day! Perfect timing for our climbing day.
