Today at the UHI WHC I was out with the second years on their mountain skills module, and with a good forecast we headed off to the mamores to enjoy a bit of visability. The group was Raymond, Holly, Erika, Chris, Lewis O and Lewis S. We started from near the B863 and dashed off towards Sgor Eilde Beag. We had a tight time schedule, trying to get back to the college by 4.30pm. The group quickly got over to the Munro on the ridge - Na Gruagaichean 1056m, and unfortunatley we didn't have time to take in Binnein Mor. But I was definitely out with a bunch of hill whippets today and we were sharpish off the hill again and back to the college.
I saw some of the healthiest hill lunches I've ever seen today (even if they only had a couple of quick minutes to eat them!). I had standard sandwiches. Raymond got up his first munro today, and the rest of the chat seemed to be about mountain bikes and rafting !! A great day.
