Roundup from the Red Bull White Cliffs

The social media has certainly been workings its magic with videos and images of the White Cliff event.  Well, here's some more!


Red Bull themselves have an impressive array of media covering the event and the full video will be released on the 27th October.

I was working as part of the safety team to belay the competitors, ensure safe operations on the cliff and general (yet not without excitement) work on the cliff itself installing banners, equipment and cleaning.

Competitors and staff were very positive throughout the preparation, event and clean up.  What a treat it was to be part of the first ever Red Bull White Cliffs Competition.

The final positions for the competitors were:

1^st Aleksei Tomilov (Russia) – 16.46

2^nd Jeff Mericer (France) – 19.08

3^rd Will Mayo (USA) – 21.40

4^th Israel Blanco (Spain) – 23.08

5^th Calum Muskett (UK) – 23.57

6^th Dennis Van Hoek (The Netherlands) – 26.25

7^th Markus Bendler (Austria)- 26.28

8^th Gordon McArthur (Canada) – 27.16

9^th Greg Boswell (UK) – 27.26

10^th Yves Heuberger (Switzerland) – 32.30
