Came a Walker, Left a Climber

Here's Ryan Wilkes. He came on a Winter Mountaineering course on Monday - and now he's definitely a climber.... Transformation complete :)

We had to avoid a possible plan A of going to the Ben - and we went to Glencoe instead to take on the Zig Zags... The snow line was down to 300m so the Zig Zags were good. We knew the forecast was for an abrupt weather change at perhaps midday - but would it really be as abrupt as that? Initially we chilled out climbing in the good weather. We got to about noon, and then it happened - VERY suddenly - the wind changed speed as if a switch was thrown! Time to leave - so time to abseil off...
