What a day! With temperatures up through the roof (well, double figures at sea level anyway!), and heavy rain for most of the day, where shall we go for a safe good day of fun/training in the snow?.... We headed for the Mamores. Here's our view of Loch Leven in the morning...
Here's George in a bucket.. We got light winds which was a bonus, we expected to be buffeted about a bit, so it was all good... We eventually found some snow, it was all heavy, wet and soft - perfect !! So with heavy rain as our constant companion we got on with the fun of buried axes, bucket seats and body belaying.. Fun for all. I wore my best waterproof Millet trousers to keep dry today, and somehow even without wearing crampons all day I managed to get a rip in them - HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!!
Some of the team said it was their best day of the week so far, so if it's rain, wind and high temps they like - they'll love tomorrow !!
