 Jagged Globe - Winter Summits

Today I met Linda, Anna and David to start their week course with Jagged Globe. Today we went to Aonach Mor, enjoyed the Gondola ride and soon got out into the blowy weather to revise some of their movement and decision making skills. There was a great deal of snow making movement difficult, and I soon found myself breaking trail again (joys!). We soon had to put crampons on because where the slab is thin, the old snow ice is just below. We had a look at using crampons on snow ice, water ice, and rock, before moving steeply up to the ridge - where the wind nearly turned Anna into a kite! Later in the day I tried really hard to slide down the slopes, but can you slide when you want to?! - So I guess we'll do ice axe arresting another day.
