Stob Coire nan Lochan

Day 4 of our mountaineering course - we headed for Stob Coire nan Lochan. As we stepped onto the car park, so did the MIC assessment teams... I wished them well for the day. They soon overtook us on the track up the hill. Later we turned left onto the horseshoe as they turned right towards the cliffs... The tracks layed down over the last few days were deep - stepping out of them meant hard work !!
Fantastic sunshine and incredible visibility. Sunglasses for the entire day - and suncream (guess who forgot his!!). Here is Colin high on the ridge.

Align CentreAll the snow made the rocky sections so much simpler..
Steve, Colin and Chris..
On the summit there was so much snow that the cairn was even buried. Here we are with Ben Nevis in the background..
Here you can see the Ballachulish NE ridge on the left hand side - that we went up yesterday.
Looking back up to the summit.
Mark Hendry on Dorsal Arete for his first client day on his MIC assessment...
We finished the day by having fun tackling cornices..
